Whilst on Portland recently I explored this fascinating place.
Portland stone has been used all over the world in buildings such as St Paul's Cathedral and the United Nations Headquarters. It is still quarried but the disused Toft Quarry is full of interest.

On the Monday we had a very successful blockade of the power station with about 400 attending. Here activists Angie and Chris. Also participating in the blockade were the band 'Seize the Day' who Chris now plays with.

Heckler and Koch are an Arms Company making a range of guns. Their base in the UK is in Nottingham and distributes guns around the world. After the Peace News Winter Gathering we raised awareness amongst Nottingham's residents about their local presence and also paid them a visit. Here part of our street theatre in the town.
