there were 60 cycle protesters accompanied by 30 police on bikes (the usual overpolicing, don't they know we're 'fluffy', non-violent peace campaigners?

some of the crowd. I had had a Peace flag dangling from a pole on the back of my bike - unfortunately the pole wasn't long enough & the flag had earlier got caught in my deraillieur - a kindly cycle policeman had helped me extricate it

Bill Perry, one of the local residents reminding the crowd that many of the older residents had seen bombs fall in this very area, Docklands being a prime target for the luftwaffe, and the last thing they want is Arms Sales on their doorstep.
