a mile away from the rest stop up a country lane was MJF Data Management - innocuous sounding but this was in fact the infamous RSG 6 at Warren Row exposed by Spies for Peace in 1963 and invaded by that year's Aldermaston March *

a nonentity of a building but underground it hid a nuclear bunker for the top brass - RSG stood for Regional Seat of Government and this was one of about a dozen, abandoned for that purpose soon after along with the 'D' notices they used to gag the press - no doubt they've got some new bigger, better bunkers kept a closer secret

regrouping just after Reading - from here the march went along country lanes with no pavements so the police were forced to let us march in the road and even provided a bit of an escort- the policeman driving the police car behind was the first Thames Valley I saw smile & be friendly to us
