in front of their beautiful tin house at the foot of the scarp slope of the chilterns
I particularily remember a victorian tiled fireplace which impressed me because each panel of tiles made up one whole picture, I think of a scene like lake windermere - I'd not seen this before
and the other memory is of the rain drumming incessantly on the tin roof
I tried looking for the house years later but couldn't find it
