first time I've ever seen police in jeans and sandals (except if they've been undercover and I haven't spotted them!). These two were Police Liason Officers from Somerset and Avon Police.

There was some debate about this at the camp in the debrief. Some didn't like it having approached the officers from behind and assuming they were just demonstrators like everyone else. Originally they weren't going to wear the florescent jackets but the Stop New Nuclear Police Liason Groupo requested that they do so so that we should know who they were but hadn't considered their ambiguity when approached from behind.
