The aim of the day was to disrupt the work of AWE Aldermaston where scientists are, illegally and without approval by Parliament, developing a new generation of warheads for Trident Nuclear missiles. Hundreds of activists descended on Berkshire and used non violent direct action to block the base. Here one is on a tripod blocking the road to the Home Office Gate, a gate which had been blocked for several hours by a previous action. Needless to say any disruption to local traffic which may have been caused is infinitesimally insignificant to the chaos that would be caused by such a warhead exploding whether deliberately or by accident. *
