My girlfriend Jos recently died in her sleep at home after over two years of cancer which she learned to live with while continuing to cherish life. A remarkable person, kind, generous, principled, courageous and consequently for some at times argumentative, she grew up a vicarís daughter, rebelled and became life-long anarchist. We met and fell in love at University, parted and then got together again thirty years later. She helped make me aware of how you should try to live for what you believe in and fight and work for what is right, and got me walking again! She spent much of her working life helping students as well as a long period with a womenís printing co-op.

and that, on creating this memento, I was flabbergasted to realise, are the only photos I have of Jos - I suppose we were too busy being and enjoying life, both in the '60's and in the past eight years when we got together again, to think about taking photos of each other. Here a view of one of her favourite hills, Highlow. For more about Jos visit her website by clicking here*
