Once again it was time to revisit the so-called RAF base at Menwith Hill, in reality an American communications base, seen by the US as a crucial facility for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as for Missile Defense. Once again we demanded our Independence FROM America and were joined this year by folk-singer Roy Bailey, human rights activist Peter Tatchell, jounalist and activist Yvonne Ridley, East Lancs CND Choir, John Slobaba of Iraq Body Count, Samba Tigers and here raising the roof, Les Vegas and the International Playboys of Rhythm *
