Heckler and Koch are an Arms Company making a range of guns. Their base in the UK is in Nottingham and distributes guns around the world. After the Peace News Winter Gathering we raised awareness amongst Nottingham's residents about their local presence and also paid them a visit. Here part of our street theatre in the town.

SELRAP, the campaign to re-open the railway between Colne and Skipton, between Lancashire & Yorkshire, has just held a very successful Funding Conference. With high profile speakers the event was packed.

Those of us in East Lancs CND who couldn't get down to the London Stop the War demo on October 24th decided to have a small demonstration outside Accrington Town Hall. Here some of the passers-by queueing to sign the Bring the Troops Home from Afghanistan petition

Brimar is a Greater Manchester based company that manufactures a range of screens and viewing equipment, including specialist cathode ray tubes. It mainly specialises in military devices which are found in fighter planes, attack helicopters, tanks, armoured vehicles and ground-based missile launchers. Target Brimar is a group of citizens from Manchester and Greater Manchester who believe that Brimar’s products have been, and may still be, used to commit war crimes in various conflicts in the Middlle East and elsewhere. They are preparing and organising a concerted campaign against Brimar and began with this National Demo outside the factory on October 17th 2009.
